Postpartum (PP) Work

I am a DONA-certified postpartum doula, and this is where my heart truly lives. I’ve always felt there’s an enormous need for postpartum care—because in our society, the “fourth trimester” often gets treated like a footnote. Moms are expected to bounce back and carry on like business as usual once they’re physically able… as if they didn’t just perform a literal miracle. There’s so much we don’t stop to acknowledge, and the constant stream of new (and sometimes wildly conflicting) information can be overwhelming and exhausting.

I wholeheartedly believe that having a postpartum doula can be a total game-changer. The right support after birth can set you and your family up for confidence, connection, and sanity during those tender early weeks. Since starting this journey, I honestly feel like I haven’t worked a single day—because I love what I do that much. Supporting families during this season isn’t just my job… it’s my happy place.

Birth Work

I’m also a DONA-trained * birth doula with a lifelong fascination with all things birth. Seriously—there’s nothing else like it. I am honored to support moms and their birth partners as they work toward their goals and create the birth experience they’ve been dreaming of. I love being that calm, steady presence, grabbing photos on mom’s phone to capture those powerful, once-in-a-lifetime moments, and jumping in as an extra set of hands when things get intense—because birth is amazing, exhausting, and definitely not a one-person job.

Meet Jessica

Originally from Cypress, Texas I made my way to Austin in 2008—because I was seeking more adventure and less traffic. I’ve experienced birth from the inside out, including two tough hospital births that brought me two absolutely wonderful children (and taught me just how important good support really is).

In 2014, I met my amazing husband, Jonathan, who came with two marvelous children of his own. We blended our beautiful family and eventually added one more to the mix to truly seal the deal. She completed our crew and was born in a birthing center under the care of an incredible midwife who inspired me more than she’ll ever know—and helped spark the passion that ultimately led me here.

After 17 years in the professional nanny world, I decided it was time for a new chapter and stepped fully into postpartum doula work. It’s something I’m deeply passionate about and genuinely excited to pour my heart into (and yes, I still consider this the best job ever).

Most recently, my family took a big leap and relocated to Spain—because apparently we like change and sunshine. While I now call Spain home, I return to Texas during the summer months to support families with birth and postpartum care. So yes, I may cross an ocean to do this work… but that’s how much I love it.

I can’t wait to connect with you and support your family during this incredible season of life.
